JOB TITLE: Software Development Engineer

SUMMARY:

Researches, designs, and develops software based on requirements. Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Must be a quick learner and highly adaptable to quickly changing technical environments.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

BS degree or higher in Computer Science from a four-year college or university and 3 or more years as a software design engineer in embedded software development environments.

Required Experience:

C, C++ embedded software development;
Expert level knowledge of Ethernet stack (IPV4/6);
MS Windows software development environment such as Green Hills and CodeWarrior;
Network protocols/schemas (TCP/IP, IEEE802.xx, SNMP, XML, Java, etc.);
Embedded O/S (Nucleus, Linux, etc.)
RADIUS client / server implementation in embedded environments;
Analysis and design of user interfaces and databases;

Preferred Experience:

Familiarity with Motorola/ARM7 embedded processors;
Skilled in project management work breakdown structure;
Basic understanding of SEI’s CMMI;
Familiarity with ISO 9000 quality;
Good understanding of UML methodologies;
Agile development experience is a plus;
