Dantel, Inc. announces a highly successful demonstration of its Disaster Resistant Event Network (DREN) for remote surveillance applications at the International Security Convention

Dantel, Inc. the leader in surveillance and management systems, today announced that strong interest was expressed for its Disaster Resistant Event Network (DREN) by attendees at the ISC West 2006 Expo in Las Vegas.

The Dantel DREN is a scalable, hardened, remote monitoring and communication system, designed to capture and transport critical event data from remote or otherwise inaccessible locations.

"The DREN incorporates various sensory, video, solar and encrypted wireless WAN technology", stated Dave Lauger, Dantel's director of business development. "We saw a tremendous amount of interest from the water resource, construction and landfill industries in applications where power infrastructures and or landlines do not exist and the need for remote surveillance is critical," said Lauger.

"Intelligence is incorporated into the DREN with Dantel's WebMon Edge or WebMon Matrix remote surveillance systems which incorporates our DRENSoft embedded cognitive software at its heart to monitor, control and protect critical infrastructure," stated Ifty Husain, Dantel's director of product development.

"We intend to package the DREN components in three configurations," stated Lauger. "Security dealers and integrators may design their own surveillance system incorporating the WebMon Edge or WebMon Matrix intelligent transport platform, or they may purchase the DREN cabinet and provide their own choice of camera, antenna, etc. or a complete customized stand alone DREN may be purchased," stated Lauger.
